CEO Dr. Neumann Attends Opel GT Show at the Techno Classica

  • Major attraction: Biggest classic car exhibition in the world with exciting #opel booth
  • German debut: #opel shows GT Concept surrounded by historical #opel GTs
  • Competent contacts: ALT-Opel club has the answers

Rüsselsheim/Essen.  Opel is bringing together two generations of automotive innovation at this year’sTechno Classica in #essen (April 6 to 10) by presenting the GT Concept sportscar study. After its successful world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show the puristic coupé is celebrating its German debut surrounded by its exclusive GT siblings. #opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann and Vice President Communication Johan Willems also attended the biggest classic car exhibition in the world earlier today. Around 1,250 exhibitors are present at the 28th edition of the exhibition and displaying their products in 21 halls with a total surface area of 127,000 m2.

“The #technoclassica is a real highlight because it brings young and old together in a very special way. That goes for the visitors as well as for our models. We are impressively showing how to build a bridge from the 1960s to the future with the #opelgt family and the GT Concept,” said Dr. Neumann at the #opel booth in hall 2.

This year, the design of the #opel booth resembles that of the Rüsselsheim design studio in the 1960s. #opel was the first European manufacturer to found its own advanced design studio in 1964. This where the legendary 1965 GT Experimental that is also on show in #essen was created. The latest #opel concept car, the GT Concept, is parked alongside the style icon. Furthermore, a red serial production GT along with the especially fast GTs of specialists Conrero, Gerent and Irmscher can be admired.

The joint appearance by #opel and the ALT-Opel club group is fast becoming a #technoclassica tradition. The biggest #opel brand club in the world has been assisting the Rüsselsheim-based carmaker in its classic car exhibition endeavors for many years now and is once again present with competent contacts that can answer any question on the historical #opel models on display.
